DHI 50th anniversary celebration

Anniversary party for 600 employees and their companions. The party was held at Papirhallen in Copenhagen.

Purpose: As well as being a fun party to celebrate 50 years, it was also a party with a message for the employees. The company makes coastal warning systems, but there was a feeling that employees didn’t have a clear enough sense of what their systems actually mean in the end. That what they were doing was actually saving lives.

Solution: We went into the set of values at DHI and made a series of films where we actively used the values to show concrete stories of people whose lives were saved because of DHI’s early warning systems. This meant that employees literally put a face to what their work does for others in the end.

The party itself was held in Papirhallen, and for the occasion we had completely rebuilt the old and beautiful hall with level differences, carpeting, candles, etc. The food was served as a standing reception and consisted of filling canapés and sushi prepared by Jens Rahbæk, former co-owner of Stick n’ Sushi

Result: It was clear to everyone that the employees grew a little during the party. They took immense pride in their work and the evaluation even showed that the employees on Monday had a slightly different approach to going to work. They were full of motivation and pride.
