Noble Drilling naming ceremony
Naming event with 100 participants from Noble Drilling, Maersk Oil and the shipyard. The naming ceremony took place in Esbjerg, but the guests stayed at D’Angleterre in Copenhagen.
Purpose: The purpose of the event was the naming of a new drilling rig. Our goal was to give the guests an experience with our own Nordic touch that would match the insanely high standard of similar events in Asia.
Solution: On day 1, guests from different parts of the world arrived at Hotel D’Angleterre, where the evening dinner was also held. On the 2nd day we flew them to their namesake Esbjerg in a chartered plane. Noble Drilling has a fun tradition of naming their rigs after selected employees, and this rig was named: Noble Sam Turner. The trip later went back to Copenhagen, where a unique Nordic inspired evening awaited.
The evening started with a canal cruise with champagne and jazz, which ended at the Dome of the Black Diamond. The gala dinner that followed was prepared by chefs from Noma and focused on the New Nordic style with something to stimulate all senses. Entertainment was beautifully provided by Pernille Rosendahl.
Result: The entire event exceeded all expectations. The evaluation showed that we had managed to impress the guests with the event, which we were very proud of as these were guests who are used to the very high standard of events like these in Asia.
“Thank you so much for a well-arranged event. Every detail was to our satisfaction and our customers had an amazing experience in Copenhagen.“
